Affiliate Summit Central 2012 Will Be Smaller and Different

I’ve heard from a handful of people that they’re trying to decide whether to go to Affiliate Summit West 2012 (January 8-10 in Las Vegas) or Affiliate Summit Central (May 15-16, 2012 in Austin, TX), and I just wanted to clear a few things up.

Affiliate Summit Central 2012, taking place at the Hilton Austin in downtown Austin, will be a different kind of Affiliate Summit.

Rather than several thousand attendees, as we will have at Affiliate Summit West 2012, it will be capped at a few hundred. shuttle .

Also, the typical Affiliate Summit runs three days, and Affiliate Summit Central 2012 will be a day and a half long. It will be followed in Austin, TX by the ShareASale Think Tank event.

While we usually have a few keynote speakers and dozens of breakout sessions across four tracks, we will have two tracks of educational sessions and one keynote in Austin.

Finally, our east and west conferences typically have hundreds of sponsors in the exhibit hall and Meet Market, but we will only have a Meet Market with a couple dozen tables at Affiliate Summit Central 2012.

Affiliate Management Days (AMDays), an event focused on education and discussions for affiliate managers, is taking place March 8-9, 2012 in San Francisco, CA.

The affiliate manager event is being organized and chaired by Geno Prussakov, author of Affiliate Program Management: An Hour a Day.

Affiliate Summit West 2011 Meet Market

As of this morning, there are a little more than 500 registration slots remaining out of a total of approximately 5,000. This will be the biggest Affiliate Summit to date.

Affiliate Summit West 2012, the premier affiliate marketing conference, is taking place January 8-10, 2012 in Las Vegas.

This three day conference includes an exhibit hall with affiliate merchants, vendors, and networks, as well as multiple tracks of educational sessions covering the latest trends and information from affiliate marketing experts.

Using YouTube Videos as an Affiliate

Q: First, just to say thanks for all your tips and guidance over the years. What I’d like to know please, is how, as an affiliate, to best leverage my various vendors YouTube videos?

Shawn Collins A: I am assuming you are talking about affiliate programs you are already promoting, and if that’s the case, those affiliate programs with videos usually have a technology they recommend to use to promote and track their videos.

If you don’t see the option in their affiliate creative, I would suggest reaching out to the advertiser to ask if you can use their videos with your affiliate links.

Otherwise, the use of their videos without permission could be a violation of their terms.

If a particular affiliate program has videos out there, but doesn’t have a way for you to use them as an affiliate, have a look at LinkedTube and ViewBix. software localization . all american roofing .

Affiliate Summit West 2012 Has Raised $1,120 So Far to Fight Breast Cancer

The Race to Affiliate Summit West 2012, a dailymile challenge where Affiliate Summit will donate $1 to benefit the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in support of Affiliate Marketers Give Back team for each mile cycled, run, swam, or walked (up to $5,000) through the challenge, is running through 12/31/2011.

There are currently 42 folks involved in the challenge, and the top ten competitors have already tallied 710 miles.

Overall, there have been 1,120 miles tallied by all of the participants, so it’s $1,120 raised so far.

I am at #7 right now (see my dailymile profile) with 63 miles – catch me if you can.

Race to Affiliate Summit West 2012
